Family Fun Afternoon
2.30pm to 4.30pm - Friday 2nd August
This Friday 2nd August we are holding a Family Fun Afternoon from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
There will be lots of activities for the children to take part both inside and on the car park:
Junk Modelling Jewellery Making
Treasure Hunt Board Games
Construction Hook a Duck
Jenga Playdoh
Sand Tray Hopscotch
Adult supervision will be required. There will also be a small charge of £1.00 per child which will go towards the library funds.
1st Saturday of the Month Coffee Morning
10am to 1pm – 3rd August 2024
Join us for our 1st Saturday of the month coffee morning on Saturday 3rd August when we will be serving a delicious selection of homemade cakes to accompany your hot or cold drink.
The Summer Reading Challenge 2024
There is still time to register your child / children for this years Summer Reading Challenge. The finish date is the 30th September. It is open to all children from the age of 4 to 11.
When they have completed the challenge they will receive a raffle ticket to win a hamper of crafty items so sign them up now!
Charity Bingo Night – 16th August 2024, 7pm for 7.30pm start
Have you got your tickets yet for our fun Charity Bingo Night to help raise funds for the library? Tickets now on sale!
For £6.00 you will receive 2 books of 6 bingo games and the prizes will be £2.00 per line and £10.00 per house. We will also be holding a ‘Last Person Standing’ raffle to help raise funds, which should be fun.
You can bring your own drinks and nibbles, but hot and cold drinks as well as crisps and snacks will be available for you to purchase.
Hiring the Library
Were you aware that you can hire the library for a Birthday Party, Meeting, etc.
Ask one of the volunteers for details or visit our website lfelibrary.org for details of the hire charges.
Volunteering
Are you looking to volunteer somewhere? Have you considered the library?
You don’t have to be computer literate as there are plenty of other tasks that you could help out with.

Other Planned Events to be confirmed
Fund Raiser – September, date to be confirmed. Keep your eyes open for more details of this Fund Raiser which will be announced as soon as possible.
Halloween Party - 1st November, 2.30pm to 3pm. They will be able to decorate Halloween biscuits and mix a potion. We will be charging £1.00 per child to cover the costs of the ingredients.
Diwali – November, date to be confirmed. We will again be holding a Diwali celebration where there will be food, dancing and music. Further details to follow.
